Pride Park

Originally an area of terraced housing, these were cleared sometime in the 20th century and the area became home to various industrial companies. At the end of the 1990's the area was decontaminated and has become a business and leisure park

One of the first buildings to be completed on the Pride Park site was the new Derby County Football Club stadium which opened in 1997. It has had a number of names since it was built including the iPro stadium but is now called Pride Park Stadium

The last major development in Pride Park was the construction of the Velodrome, A multi use sports facility with a raised cycle track which was opened in 2015

This area has had many uses over the years and used to hold the town's gas supply in the tanks in the following pictures. Sadly these were cleared away a few years ago and the site put to a new use
